Hi @Ep2222,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Wrinkling of paper when printing on cardstock or thicker materials can be frustrating. Here are a few tips and possible causes to help you solve this issue:

Paper Path: Check the paper path of your printer. Sometimes, debris or small obstructions might cause the paper to feed improperly, leading to wrinkles. Ensure that the paper path is clean and clear.

Printer Settings: Make sure your printer settings are adjusted for thicker paper. Most printers have a setting specifically for cardstock, heavy paper, or other special media types. Using the correct setting adjusts the pressure and heat applied during printing, which can prevent wrinkling.

Humidity and Paper Condition: If the paper is stored in a humid environment, it can absorb moisture and become more prone to wrinkling when it passes through the printer. Try storing your paper in a dry place and consider using a dehumidifier in the room where you store your printing supplies.

Paper Quality: Not all cardstock is the same. Some are more susceptible to heat and might wrinkle under the heat used in laser printers. If you recently switched paper brands, consider trying a different type of cardstock.

Printer Maintenance: Regular maintenance of your printer is crucial. Over time, rollers and other components can wear out and affect how paper is fed through the machine. Consider having your printer serviced if it's been a while since the last check-up.

Manual Feed: If your printer has a manual feed tray, use it. Manual feed typically bypasses some of the rollers and provides a straighter path for thick papers, reducing the chance of wrinkling.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
