Hi @CEM13,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 9025 printer is displaying a paper jam error message but there is no actual paper jam, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Check for Visible Jammed Paper: Open all the access doors and trays of your printer and visually inspect for any jammed paper. Make sure to look in all the possible areas where paper can get stuck, including the input tray, output tray, and inside the printer.
  • Remove Any Loose Paper: If you find any loose or partially fed sheets of paper, carefully remove them from the printer.
  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can clear out false error messages. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute or two, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check Paper Path: Ensure that there are no obstructions or foreign objects in the paper path. Even small pieces of paper or debris can trigger a paper jam error.
  • Inspect Rollers and Sensors: Inspect the paper rollers for any debris or damage. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water or isopropyl alcohol if needed. Check for any malfunctioning or obstructed paper sensors.
  • Update Firmware: Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve such issues. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer.
  • Paper Type and Condition: Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper for your printer, and that the paper is in good condition (not wrinkled, torn, or curled). Adjust the paper guides in the tray to fit the paper properly.
  • Reset the Printer: If none of the above steps work, you can try a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will reset all settings to their default values, so make sure to note down any custom settings before doing this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
