Depending on where the jam actually is, you may be able to use a piece of stiff thin cardboard (think cereal box type of cardboard) to floss the paper path. In some cases if the paper is stuck in the fuser (the module that heats up to bond toner to the paper) disassembly might be necessary to remove the jam and not damage the fuser itself.
