I am struggling to print A4 pages using matte or glossy photo papers (220gsm or 240gsm).

If I print on normal office paper 80gsm, but tell the printer it is photo paper and boarderless it prints perfectly, but poor quality due to the paper.

If I repeat the exercise with photo paper the print cuts off the top off the image and leaves a white gap at the bottom.  This can vary from 5-20mm.  It is as if the printer cannot align the top of the paper with heavier stock, even though it is in spec of the printer.

If I try printing non-borderless I get the same issue with the photo papers - it cuts off the top and leaves white at the bottom.

Given normal paper prints fine, I assume this is a feed issue with the thicker paper rather than a software/driver issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this as the printer should be able to print A4 borderless photos.
