After clearing a jam in the ADF, I can't get the ADF Cover to close all the way. Tabs don't fit properly into the ADF Tab.

@jimwhite48, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Misaligned ADF Hinges or Tabs

Lift the ADF cover fully again.

Slowly lower it while guiding the side tabs into their slots. Make sure they’re not tilted or catching on anything.

Press gently but firmly downward until you hear or feel a slight click.

Paper Debris or Jam Remnants

A tiny piece of paper or plastic may still be caught in the hinge or tab areas.

Inspect the ADF hinge area and tab slots with a flashlight.

Use tweezers or a small brush to remove any debris or leftover jammed paper.

Wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
