Got this printer given to me because this piece is broken. Everything works great but I would like to repair this piece. Does anyone know where I could find the part or its exact name? Thank you.

A quick look on HP Parts Surfer suggests that the part you are looking for is G5J38-40104, which is the entire top cover, however that part is not listed on HP Parts Store. You may find a website that does offer or someone parting out a broken machine.

Thank you very much for your informative response. I will keep an eye out for any printers being parted out. It works great otherwise so it's not a big deal.
