Welcome to the HP Community --
The printer might print business cards if you can find some "lighter weight" business card paper.
Some Business card paper sheets might be too heavy for the printer.
For example, try to avoid business card paper that claims to print on 2-sides of the cards.
Why?
The paper used in 2-sided business cards can be heavier than paper used to print 1-sided business cards.
What?
You have to meet the printer's requirements for Paper Size, Type, AND weight.
True the printer supports 300gsm photo paper -- unfortunately, you cannot trick the printer by selecting photo paper unless you are actually loading and using photo paper.
Top loader printers might balk (hesitate, hang, refuse) sooner than their interior tray counterparts.
If the paper sticks, hangs, won't travel easily, do not try to force it.
