HP ENVY 7644 e-All-in-One Printer

HELLO MY HP ENVY 7644 E-ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER HAS BEEN SHOWING THIS ERROR MESSAGE 'CARTRIDGE CARRIAGE STALLED' BOTH ON THE THE PRINTER ITSELF AND ON THE APP ON MY IPHONE. THE ERROR MESSAGE CAME UP EARLIER TODAY WHILE I WAS PRINTING A DOCUMENT. I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SCREEN AND TRIED ALL THE TROUBLESHOOTING OPTIONS USING THE VIRTUAL AGENT WITHOUT SUCCESS. I DO NOT SEE A PAPER JAM AND AM STUCK. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting carriage jam errors, and I am glad to assist you.

Perform a power reset , Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
