CLJ 3550

Hi, first I want to thank you guys for all the info given.

After more than 5 years out of duty, I turned the printer on and find out that I also had that problem with the solenoids.

Luckily, I did find this great HP forum.

So I did read : “Each of these has or had a pad glued to the ledge that would dampen the noise of the "L" arm hitting when the solenoid was energized.” Well I thought that I did not mind that noise. So did all the disassembly steps, to find the solenoid was sticking to the magnet. There was some residue of the pad that was sticky. I figured I only have to clean the solenoids. So I used some acetone to clean them and place all back to test the printer. After I did that I again did get the error 59.99. So I did some tests with the solenoid, and came to the conclusionthat those Pads had to be between the plate, not only for noise damping. There has to stay some space between the magnet and the plate, Or the magnetic field will not be disabled. When energized the magnet will pull the plate but after it hits the magnet. It will stay magnetic and stick to the metal, even when there is no energy send to it. The gap will prevent this. So, I used a piece of credit card with double sided tape to create the gap.And that problem was solved. Sadly I also had to dissemble the other side of the printer, this was my fault, I had some bad luck with the left arm. It came out and I could not place it back without dissemble  the whole left side of the printer. On the photo you can see why. Pin N1 has to get inside the hole2, you cant do that if you just try and place it back in the hole2 it just will fall out again. So after I did re assemble the whole printer I was really surprised to find out it was still working and the code 59.99 was gone. There where some little things I had to do to made it print again. And so it is printing now. Everything looks great, but there is still just 1 ting that I cant get solved. When it prints it want to give the paper to the place where you can pick it up from the printer,(just where the red arrow is.) but it just give maybe 3 cm and then it stops, giving the error code: TOP OUTPUT BIN.   PAPER LATE JAM. Every time at the same place. And when I leave the paper there, it will come out after I open and close the rear or front door. Then it just completes the job. So there must be a setting or censor that tells the printer something is wrong. So, I tried to find a solution for that, and I believe I have to go inside the service menu. And maybe do a: COLD RESET PAPER LETTER . but  To get there I need to enter a pin number 10370003 or maybe 10370004 but that code is not working. Now I really do not know what I could do to solve this problem. Is there anything you guys know I could try? I have been buzzy with it for quite a while now, and I hate to give up.     save the planet recycle. left arm.jpgstop.jpg
