Hi @GmfromKS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "6" on your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdwe usually indicates a paper jam or a problem with the paper path, even if you've already removed any visible paper. To clear the error, follow these steps.
Power off the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds. This can help reset any temporary errors.
Check all areas for paper jams: Even if you've already removed paper, it's important to check all possible jam points, including:
- The paper tray
- The output tray
- The paper path inside the printer
- The toner cartridge area
Check the paper rollers: Inspect the paper rollers for any debris or damage that might cause a paper jam. Clean them with a lint-free cloth if needed.
Check for misaligned paper: Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray. If the paper is too thick, too thin, or improperly aligned, it can cause a jam.
Reset the printer: After confirming that no paper is left inside, plug the printer back in and power it on. If the error persists, you may need to perform a hard reset by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds.
Update or reinstall drivers: Sometimes, an error code like this can be caused by a software issue. Try updating the printer drivers or reinstalling them.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
