HP Envy 6455e

HP 6455e is not feeding cardstock through.  Description said it would which is why I bought it.

Cardstock is not supported. Where did you find description that it was?

Specs say photo paper up to 80 pounds

Photopaper and cardstock both are very different papers.

The photopaper can be easier bent and cardstock can't be bent as photopaper big difference for a printer.

80 pound is 80 pound.

What is maximum weight paper then?

Thank you ☹️

Since you specialize in HP do they make a home printer that will accept cardstock up to either 65 or 80 pounds?

HP Recommended

Nope. Todays home printers can't handle such heavy paper.

Thank you for your time and help.  Very much appreciated!

I have a different HP printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 6830), and I can print on cardstock. It has to be the right weight; I have some 110lb cardstock that has been working. I've tried heavier cardstock that definitely doesn't work. The 110lb cardstock, however, sometimes experiences document feeding issues, where I have to run it a few times to get it lined up on the sheet correctly (it sometimes starts printing halfway through the paper and the remainder of the print ends up on the roller, I assume). In addition, only put 1 sheet of cardstock in the paper tray at once, and use the settings on the printer touchscreen to change the paper type - I choose "brochure matte." If you don't have a touch screen on your model of printer, there are usually settings once you open the print dialog box on your computer, to set the paper type. (Then remember to set it back afterwards, otherwise the feeder might pick up several sheets of regular paper at once.)  Good luck!
