HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am using an Envy Pro 6458 printer. I powered it on today and am receiving an error about the paper tray being open even when closed. I have gone through and verified that there are no obstructions to the tray, cleaned the print rollers, removed paper and closed tray with no paper, power cycled printer waiting 60 seconds in between power off and on, without any change to the error.

Are there any other suggestions or ways to possibly reset the printer so it recognizes that the tray is actually closed?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document Out of Paper' Error, Printer Does Not Pick Up Paper: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
