Hello. Not sure what is going on. I got an error message that there was a carriage jam. Can't find anything jammed inside. Then I printed two recipes just fine. Then I tried to print again and I'm getting the error message again.

Hi @Leahc75,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've done some troubleshooting already, which is great. Carriage jams can sometimes be tricky to diagnose, especially if there isn't an obvious obstruction. Here are a few additional steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:
- Turn off the printer: Sometimes, simply turning off the printer and then turning it back on can reset the internal mechanisms and clear the error message.
- Inspect the carriage area: Carefully open the printer cover and manually move the carriage to the left and right. Check for any small pieces of paper or debris that may be obstructing the carriage's movement.
- Check for loose parts: Look for any loose parts or foreign objects inside the printer, such as paper clips or bits of torn paper. Even small objects can cause a carriage jam.
- Clean the carriage rail: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the carriage rail. Dust and debris on the rail can sometimes interfere with the carriage's movement.
- Reset the printer: Some printers have a reset option in the settings menu. Try resetting the printer to its factory settings to see if that clears the error.
- Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve various issues, including carriage jams. Update the firmware on an HP printer
