I had a paper jam and removed the flip gate. How do I reinstall?

Hi @CommandoBarbie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reinstall a piece of the flip gate mechanism on your HP Envy 6455e printer, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

Try this:

1) Hold the thin plastic piece (paper guide?) behind the flip plate rollers as you begin. The rollers should fit between the square plastic tongues of the paper guide.  The plastic tongues should point up, with the flat part of the paper guide on the bottom.

2) With the flip gate in the open position, seat the right end of the metal rod into the notch on the right.

3) On the left side, open the flip gate a bit more so that you can settle the plastic gear wheel into place next to the other gear.

4) Close the flip gate.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
