HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Printer

Hi!

No matter what I do, the DL envelop won't print fully (one edge always is cropped to the left edge, it's a bout 1 Cm)

I'm trying to print an Xmas envelop with red striped edges, and it never worked, I have done all the known layout setup etc...., DL 220,110  ....

Welcome to the HP Community --

Not sure whether this is the right printer for the job.

I have provided an "idea" below.

If nothing works, maybe print some labels and do that.

Yes,  I know...

It might work - though I would guess using any kind of envelope software (Word > Mailings > Envelopes) could be a challenge.

The  problem -- if there is one -- the printer requires a lower margin of 12.7mm

The envelope is not very tall (only 110 mm).

Envelope Software generally has rules about placement.

Envelopes are placed in the printer narrow side top and bottom.

The return and recipient addresses are printed on the envelope in Landscape.

Rotating the orientation moves the "larger" margin requirement to the (right) side.

I am not sure how you are getting a left edge (top of envelope) deficit at print.

Perhaps the odd "chop" has to do with the method used to place the content on the page.

What to do?

Try creating a Word document in the shape and size of your envelope.

Add the Text Boxes to the document for return and destination.

Be sure you allow the 12.7MM (1/2 inch in the example below) at the bottom edge.

With the margin limitations there is little room to add an offset return address and the Recipient address.

Adjust the little Text Boxes accordingly.

Print the document in Landscape.

If you can do so, cutting some plain paper into the size of the envelopes might help.

I have an old example plate of the manual envelope method for this envelope size --

I am not sure the method will work on a DeskJet with all the limitations and the tiny print area but might be worth checking...
