HP Deskjet 2776
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the need to print cheque leaves (of various Indian banks). The HP Deskjet 2776 how ever is unable to do so. I pulls in the cheque leaf, and immediately throws an error. It is about 'Paper Size mismatch'. I have also created a custom form/paper size for a standard cheque leaf. This paper size also appears in the printer configuration settings (Paper Quality -> Paper Size ->Custom option). But I am never able to select this custom size. The paper size always remains as A4.

I am attaching pictures of the errors I am getting. A bit sad; a new printer unable to do this simple printing and loosing 2-3 cheque leaves crumpled and unusable. NOTE: I am connecting to the Printer via Wi-Fi (using my home Wi-Fi network) and not through any cables.

Hi,

The printer will only list paper sizes supported by the hardware, not any paper size is supported but there is a limited paper size range.

Please clarify what is the used paper size first to better understand of any possible configuration changes, assuming the required size is supported by your printer.

The standard cheque leaf size 20.2cm width & 9.3cm height. I can configure this as a Custom size paper as well. Which means the printer is suited to print on papers of this size. But when trying to set this as a Paper Size in Paper/Quality settings it is not accepting it. I can only choose A4 as the paper size.

I created another custom size (21.0cm width & 29.7 cm height). Now this size is exactly same as A4 size. I cannot even chose this custom size, using the Paper Size in Paper/Quality settings. Which means that irrespective of what custom sizes I make, the printer is only going for the default configurations. Or else printer could have allowed me to choose my Custom A4 sheet.

Please go to Devices and Printers and right-click the printer, then click Printer Properties.

Open the Advanced tab and clarify what exact name is selected for your printer within the Driver drop-down menu.

Please clarify above, I would suspect a missing or corrupted driver.

Also go to Uninstall a Program ant type HP, please let me know what exact options are listed.
