HP Envy 4500 series - paper jam but unable to remove duplexer cover (also jammed)

HP Envy 4500 series - paper jam (card) but unable to remove duplexer cover - also jammed!  Able to move it slightly and click it back into place but cannot remove.  Tip of paper behind duplexer cover.  NB I have now been able to remove card by tipping up printer and pulling out paper tray, but am unable to remove duplexer cover.
