Hi, we have an HP Envy Photo 7100 that's about two years old (warranty expired 😓). It's working and printing well, but it makes this REALLY loud noise (think machine gun or car backfiring) after the print job is done or when it's unplugged, restarted, or opened and closed again.
I checked thoroughly for paper jams or debris, and it seems like the cartridge is doing what it should (moving back and forth correctly). The cartridges are original and have been recently replaced. I'm not sure why it's making this noise when it seems to be in good condition and working well...
It hasn't been dropped or had any other kind of physical damage.
It officially works, but the noise is way too loud and annoying for a studio setting with clients... Is there a non-paper jam or cartridge-related reason that it could be making this kind of noise?
Thank you for any help!
