HP LaserJet Pro 400 color Printer M451dn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear all,

In order to replace the flapper solenoid which is located in the upper body of M451dn., I would like to find its part number. (It may be RM1-5420-000, RM1-5423-000, and the like.)

Thank you very much in advance for your kind attention.

Solenoids are often not listed as an available part, especially on lower end products like this. Most of the solenoids are interchangeable anyway as long as the arm is the right length. The only solenoid listed in the service manual is the MP tray solenoid.

You need to add a CN to the end of the part numbers. The first number you list looks valid but is not available to the general public from HP, only to service centers. The second number does not show at the HP Parts Store.

P.S.

The solenoid in question may be referred to as "Duplex Reverse Solenoid" in the service manual.

Again, thank you very much for your kind reply.

Until I find the part number of the flapper solenoid in question, I would survive with quick fixes mentioned elsewhere in this forum. For instance . . .
