Hello,

Second day trying to make it working my LaserJet m404. Nearly good, but bottom of printed page has wrinkle or two along direction in center of page.

Picture attached.

Few days ago noticed wrinkled only on dark printed pages. Normal pages with text like status print was good. Made a lot of tests, disassembled and assembled fuser 5 or more times. Nothing help. Heating element and it's holding bracket did not bent, just checked. A5 size printing with no problem.

Any ideas how to diagnose issue?

Fuser is expensive to buy just for test. Looking for suggestions before I'll go for new fuser.

Many thanks

Thanks Valsimot. Tested, but do see difference in speed and got similar wrinkling.

Made a lot of test once more. When stopped printing page in the middle of its way through fuser, noticed bit wawy paper. So did test how paper goes through fuser out of printer by hand. And there is a problem. I has changed lover pressure roller in the fuser, because original one was damaged. Seems got poor quality roller or defected.

Issue found!

Change paper type to heavy in the driver to reduce printer speed and print on plain A4 to see how it will print.

If settings change do not fix then likley the fuser is defective. That is the most common cause of this error that we see.
