Hi. I have a HP LaserJet P1108 printer which I use with my MacBook Air laptop. Whenever, I try to print more than 1 page, the first page invariably comes out ok, but the next page goes through the printer without printing. Even when I print just one page at a time, the second page comes out blank. It seems the only way that works, to print multiple pages successfully, is to follow this process: Step 1) Just put one sheet in the printer and print the first page page. Step 2) Switch off the printer and then switch it back on. Step 3) Put another single sheet in the printer and print the second page. Step 4) Switch off the printer and then switch it back on. Step 5) Put another single sheet in the printer and print the third page. And so on.
I also am not able to get duplex printing working, when I choose it.
Also paper gets jammed in the printer quite frequently.
Can anybody please help with suggested solutions? Thanks.

Hi,
As you mention such an issue, this could happen die to driver issue as well as an hardware print quality issue too (although I believe the first one would apply if restarting the printer helps).
If you have another device, please try printing from another computer and check.
For the specific computer, please follow below steps to uninstall any current drivers and then reinstall the latest drivers from Apple by following
the Resolution section below and check if that may help:

Hi Shlomil.
Thanks very much for your reply.
Unfortunately my HP printer (HP LaserJet P1108) is not on the list you attached via link.
Do you know if that means I cannot use this printer with my MacBook Air?
Thanks,
Karan

Hi,
Please give it a try, the P1108 printer is part of the P1100 Series which is listed and supported by the Apple software package:

A such may occur due to a connectivity problem, please make sure the USB cable is not longer than 2 meters long and directly connected to your Mac, without any USB hubs or extensions.
Also try connecting the USB cable to another USB port of your Mac and check if you may see any difference then,
If the same persists, let's try using another USB cable and check if there might be any change then, a faulty or damaged cable may cause such a behavior.
Please let me know how it goes.

Hi.
Thanks for your reply.
My USB cable is not longer than 2 metres. It is the cable that came with the printer. I think it is about 1.7metres.
I tried it on another USB port on my Mac, but sadly got same result.
When printing a 2-page document the first page printed fine, but the second page jammed halfway through the printer and nothing is printed on it.
I haven't yet tried using another cable (I only have one), but will try that when I get my hands on another cable.
This one looks good, but is a bit uneven as I think its been rolled-up at some stage in the past.
