My HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 is reporting on the display that it is experiencing a "Document Feeder Jam". I have gone thru the HP recommended reset and cleaning video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQvyzngNJGI. I have also reset the printer to factory defaults and made sure the firmware is up to date.

All to no avail.

I was able to scan a document in the midst of all this and save it to a flash drive, but MOST of the time it's complaining about the Document Feeder Jam and I am not able to get to printing or scanning. Additionally, the display is also complaining about the ink cartridges. They are the HP brand 952 models, I've tried reseating them and cleaning the heads. No luck.

What can I do‽ Is there a way to do a hard reset or something?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

If you have already performed the steps from the document "document feeder" error: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778  and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
