Finally figured out why my new 9025e would not print 4x6 and 5x7 photos. What I found out was this: unlike my previous HP printer, the OfficeJet Pro 8600, my new 9025e does NOT self adjust (auto-set) to the size and type of paper in the tray (my 8600 only had only one), Instead, that information needs to be specified by the user before proper printing can be performed successfully. So, to make my 9025e print photos correctly, I did the following:
1. 4x6 or 5x7 photo stock MUST be loaded into Tray 2 ONLY
2. The paper size and type MUST be specified by entering that information in the Tray settings menu on the touch screen. Without that information the printer will not feed correctly for the paper size being used and printing will fail.
3. Once the above was satisfied, BINGO! No problem printing 4x6 or 5x7 or even 8x10!!!! YES!
NOTE: At first I was not able to enter the paper size and type because I did not know the default username and password necessary for entering tray setting information on the touch screen. I tried all combinations of usernames and passwords suggested in the forums but none of them worked.
What DID work was using "admin" for the username and the PIN on the sticker on the inside of the printer's front door (were ink cartridges are loaded) for the password.
So now, I am a very happy HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e owner!!!!
