Today I needed to print something- but I got an error saying that cartridges cannot move and to clear the jam or obstacle. I opened it up and no jam but then I noticed that this little plastic gear under the carriage for ink was loose and off the metal rod that it was supposed to be on. I checked and of course, my printer is out of warranty. so I got to play with a screwdriver and opened up the printer, retrieved the loose part and I was ready to put it back all together, but this plastic little gear is broken and I can't find it anywhere to buy online. This plastic part can't be more than $1 and I am not throwing out the printer for that little part. Can someone help and guide me to a list of all the parts for this printer so I can order it online and fix it? It is about 1-inch wide rounder gear with grooves that rotate and move other gear around. please help!

Hi @Romain82,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that there is an issue with the printer hardware and you need a replacement part which is broken.

Unfortunately, if there is any issue with the printer hardware the whole unit needs to be replaced and there is no option to order parts for a printer.

However, you can check at a local store where they fix printer's to assist you further with the part based on availability.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

is is really sad to send a printer to the landfill for such an insignificant issue.

I will try to find the part online but I am really disappointed by the answer.
