HP Officejet pro 8715 - showing document feeder jam

I have an error showing "Document Feeder Jam" so am unable to copy or use the feeder (only print or scan from Mac direct).

I cannot see any paper (or pieces of paper etc) and have used a lint cloth to dust out the visible areas but this hasn't helped.

Have tried to reset but again this hasn't helped.

Any advice please? Thank you

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

It's true that the options are limited.

Essentially: "Clean it" and "Reset it".

There are two main areas - the ADF has its own rollers that can be cleaned.

The inside rollers can also be checked and cleaned.

Known Solutions, presented in the order to be completed / considered:

 Paper Jam Error

What else?

Less likely -- possible:

• The paper might be too dry, too damp (yes, these can be a thing)
• Paper might be curled, of an unsupported weight, or an unsupported paper type
• Other than Copy -- job settings?
• Printer might be "old" -- older hardware can develop feed problems

Less, less likely -- possible:

The printer software might benefit from being reloaded.

This is least likely since Copy does not work -- Copy is a printer function (not related to printer software)
