Although I've changed the paper a thousand times before with no problem, now all of a sudden the paper drawer won't go back into the printer at all. I saw a previous post where the answer was pressing the "legal-sized paper" button, but that does nothing helpful. It seems the drawer is marginally too wide -- but it never was before! Any ideas? It must be something simple, but I just can't see it.

Welcome to the HP support community.
Need to press the blue button in the red square in the picture below to readjust the paper size of the tray.
If you have tried these steps and if the issue still persists, this could be a hardware issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
