Just purchase a HP Smart Tank 7602 printer, first printer purchase in 10 years. Completed the setup and printed out a test paper and printer is working fine. Paper loading is where I have an issue, 99% of the time I use 8.5 by 11 inch paper and noticed the tray length doesn't shrink to that length. I’m guessing the smallest adjustable length is 14. I pulled the tray out and checked the bottom and the inside and I don't believe the printer tray has an option to reduce to that size. After looking closer to videos, I noticed people are placing the paper near the front of the tray. I assume the paper sits in the correct position but am I missing something?
If this is correct is there an aftermarket option to block the back of the tray to make the paper fit snug in the tray?
