Hi @Sashimoy,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a paper folding issue with your HP Smart Tank 750 All-In-One Printer. Paper folding can be caused by various factors, and here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
- Check the Paper Type and Size: Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper as specified in the printer's manual. Using the wrong paper can lead to paper jams and folding issues.
- Inspect the Paper Tray: Make sure the paper in the tray is loaded correctly and not exceeding the maximum capacity. Overloading the tray can cause paper to fold or jam.
- Adjust the Paper Guides: Ensure that the paper guides in the tray are adjusted to fit the paper size snugly. Loose guides can lead to misalignment and paper folding.
- Check for Obstructions: Inspect the paper path for any obstructions such as torn paper, foreign objects, or bits of debris. Remove any obstacles that may be causing the folding.
- Use High-Quality Paper: Low-quality or damaged paper can lead to folding issues. Try using high-quality, undamaged paper from a reputable brand.
- Clean the Rollers: Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water or isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to consult your printer's manual for specific cleaning instructions.
- Update Firmware and Drivers: Check if there are any firmware or driver updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's software can resolve various issues.
- Check for Mechanical Issues: If the problem persists, there might be a mechanical issue with the printer, such as a worn-out roller or a misalignment. In such cases, it's best to contact HP customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance.
- Reduce Print Quality: If you are experiencing paper folding when printing high-quality images, try reducing the print quality settings. High-quality printing can put more stress on the paper and increase the chances of folding.
- Use Supported Paper Types: Ensure that you are using paper types that are supported by your printer. Some printers may not handle specialty paper types well, leading to folding issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
