Hi @Navy1108,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for contacting HP Support. We understand that your HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer prints successfully on plain paper but fails to load Hallmark greeting card paper. We're here to help.
The supported card specifications are:
- Size: 3 x 5 in to 8.5 x 11 in (76 x 127 mm to 216 x 279 mm)
- Weight: Up to 200 g/m² (up to 110 lb index)
If your Hallmark card paper exceeds the recommended thickness or has a textured or glossy surface, the printer rollers may not be able to properly feed the paper, which can fail to load.
1. Check the Paper Specs:
- Verify that the greeting card paper is within the supported weight and size limits.
- Heavier or coated paper may not feed correctly.
2. Proper Loading:
- Load one sheet at a time into the paper tray.
- Make sure the print side is facing down.
- Slide the paper width guides snugly against the paper without bending it.
3. Printer Settings:
- When printing, open the Print dialog box.
- Click Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Set the Media Type to “Cardstock” or “Heavyweight Inkjet Paper”.
- Set the Paper Size to match the card.
4. Use HP Recommended Paper:
- For best results, we recommend using HP Greeting Card Paper, which is fully tested for compatibility with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
