Hi @Denver9 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Photosmart 7525 is having trouble feeding paper, it's possible that the feed rollers may be dirty or worn out. Here are general steps you can follow to clean the feed rollers:

Note: Before starting, make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged for safety.

Access the rollers:

  • Open the printer's top cover or access door. You may need to consult your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to access the rollers.

Identify the rollers:

  • Locate the feed rollers. They are usually rubber or soft plastic and are responsible for grabbing and feeding the paper into the printer.

Clean the rollers:

  • Moisten a lint-free cloth with water (distilled water is preferable)

Clean the rollers:

  • Moisten a lint-free cloth with water (distilled water is preferable) or isopropyl alcohol. Do not use excessive water, as it can damage the printer.
  • Gently wipe the rollers to remove any dust, paper fibers, or other debris. You may need to rotate the rollers manually to clean the entire surface.

Inspect for debris:

  • Check for any foreign objects such as small pieces of paper or debris that may be stuck in the rollers. Use tweezers or a small tool to carefully remove any obstructions.

Clean the paper path:

  • Use compressed air to blow out any remaining dust or debris from the paper path. Ensure that there are no obstructions that could impede the paper's movement through the printer.

Test the rollers:

  • After cleaning, close the top cover or access door, and turn on the printer.
  • Load a few sheets of plain paper into the input tray.
  • Attempt to print a test page to see if the issue is resolved. If the paper feeds correctly, the cleaning process is successful. Do not use excessive water, as it can damage the printer.
