I am not able to remove the jammed page of paper from the rear of my 8620 without tearing bits and pieces. How can I release the rollers so the remaining bits of paper can be slid out, or is there another method?

Hi @Acho71 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with a paper jam can be frustrating, but here are steps you can take to try to resolve the issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer:
Turn off the printer: Make sure the printer is turned off to avoid any injury during the process.
Access the rear of the printer: Open the rear access door or panel to gain access to the paper path.
Manually rotate the rollers: Look for the rollers that pull the paper through the printer. Gently rotate them in the direction of the paper path. This might help in releasing the stuck paper. If the rollers do not move, do not force them.
Use a flashlight: Shine a flashlight into the printer to get a better view of the jammed paper. This will help you identify and locate any remaining bits of paper.
Use tweezers or pliers: If you can see any bits of paper, carefully use tweezers or pliers to grasp and gently pull them out. Be cautious not to tear the paper, and avoid using excessive force.
Check for other access points: Some printers have multiple access points for paper removal. Check your printer's user manual or documentation to see if there are other areas where you can access and remove paper.
Remove paper trays: If there is a paper jam in the front or other areas, remove the paper trays to get better access. Again, refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions.
Check for any levers or buttons: Some printers have levers or buttons that can be pressed or moved to release paper jams. Consult your printer's manual for any specific instructions on this.
Clear paper from the output tray: If there is a paper jam in the output tray, clear it before attempting to remove the rear jam.
Restart the printer: After you've cleared the jam, turn on the printer and check if it displays any error messages. Clear any remaining notifications on the printer's display.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
