Hi @ss277,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove the main paper tray on an HP Envy Inspire 7900e, follow these steps:

Steps to Remove the Main Paper Tray

Power On the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.

Locate the Paper Tray: The main paper tray is typically at the front of the printer.

Pull Out the Tray:

  • Gently pull the paper tray towards you. It should slide out smoothly.
  • If you encounter resistance, check for any locking mechanisms or clips that may need to be released.

Remove Any Paper: If there is any paper in the tray, remove it before fully taking out the tray.

Check for Obstructions: Once the tray is removed, check for any paper jams or debris in the tray area.

To Reinsert the Tray

Align the Tray: Place the tray back into the printer, ensuring it is aligned correctly.

Push In the Tray: Gently push the tray back until it clicks into place.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
