I have loaded 5x5 CD envelopes in both Main tray and Tray 2. When prompted, I changed the paper size on the printer to 5x5 thick. My printing copy is from a 5x5 MSWord page. When printer ques up, it says paper mismatch. I tell it to print anyway, then it says "paper is too short" and it cancels the job. How can I fix this??

Hi @SiriPro
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e while trying to print on 5x5 CD envelopes.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the problem:
1. Verify Envelope Loading
- Ensure the envelopes are loaded correctly:
- Place them in the tray with the print side facing down and the flap to the left.
- Adjust the paper width guides snugly against the edges of the envelopes to prevent misalignment.
2. Set Custom Paper Size
- On the printer's control panel:
- Go to Settings > Paper Handling and select Custom Size.
- Enter the dimensions as 5x5 inches and save the settings.
- In Microsoft Word:
- Go to Layout > Size > More Paper Sizes and set the page size to 5x5 inches.
- Ensure the document matches the custom size you set on the printer.
3. Adjust Print Settings
- When printing from Word:
- Go to File > Print and select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e.
- Click Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Under the Paper/Quality tab, select the custom size (5x5) and set the media type to Thick Paper or Envelope.
- Ensure the settings match the paper size and type loaded in the tray.
4. Override Paper Mismatch
- If the printer displays a "Paper Mismatch" error:
- Confirm that the paper size and type settings in the printer and on your computer match.
- Press OK or Continue on the printer's control panel to override the error.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can cause issues with custom paper sizes. Update your printer's firmware:
- Open the HP Smart app and select your printer.
- Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Firmware Update and follow the prompts.
6. Test with a Different Application
- If the issue persists, try printing from another application, such as Adobe Acrobat or WordPad, to see if the problem is specific to Microsoft Word.
