Hi @TerSc ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP ENVY 6458e All-In-One Printer, like many printers, may have specific settings and procedures for printing double-sided documents using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Here are Troubleshooting steps that you can follow;
Load Paper:
- Make sure that you have enough paper loaded in the paper tray.
Configure Printer Settings:
- Open the document you want to print.
- Go to the print settings. This can usually be done through the Print dialog box in the software you're using (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat).
- Look for an option like "Layout," "Finishing," or "Features."
- Find the "Two-sided (Duplex)" or similar option and select "Automatic" or "Long Edge" for duplex printing.
Check ADF Settings:
- Make sure the ADF is properly connected and recognized by the printer.
- Verify that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the ADF.
Load Documents in ADF:
- Place the documents you want to print in the ADF tray. Make sure the pages are neatly stacked and within the ADF's capacity.
Print:
- Click the "Print" button in the print dialog box.
Retrieve Printed Documents:
- Once the first side is printed, the printer will prompt you to reload the pages into the input tray or ADF for the second side.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to flip and reload the pages.
Complete Printing:
- The printer will automatically print the second side of each page.
If the ADF is not feeding paper properly, you may need to troubleshoot the ADF. Check the user manual of your printer for specific instructions on resolving ADF issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
