The documentation I can find on the HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer series is somewhat complete but lacks detail on whether you can do what you want using the Mobile version of the application.
The limitation: The Mobile application does not allow you to set the paper size after the photo is opened for print nor does the application support creating a custom paper size form for any non-standard paper size / type.
Printer Specifications for HP OfficeJet 3830, DeskJet 3830, 5730 All-in-One Printers
Photo paper in A5 is not a standard supported size of the type (Photo paper).
What can you do?
Set the paper size and type ahead of time using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
In the case of A5 photo paper, there might - or might not - be a paper size listing for the paper size in photo paper. So.. what? If you can do so, select "Custom" as the paper size (likely the last size in the list) and hope that is enough.
Basics
Load / Check paper size into printer
Check / Adjust at the printer display panel and / or EWS
If for Windows >> Adjust Printing Preferences / Shortcut
Open the item to be printed > Optionally Set / edit available options > Print
Details
Load the paper into the printer according to the instructions in the printer user guide.
