Hi @Deepak5059,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Paper feed issues can be common with many printers, including the HP Smart Tank 525. These issues can be caused by a variety of factors such as dirty rollers, incorrect paper loading, or mechanical problems. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve paper feeding issues with your HP Smart Tank 525:
Step 1: Check and Clean the Paper Rollers
Turn Off the Printer:
- Ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
Access the Paper Rollers:
- Open the printer's front or rear access panel to locate the paper rollers.
Clean the Rollers:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the paper rollers. Rotate the rollers manually to clean their entire surface.
- Allow the rollers to dry completely before closing the access panel and plugging the printer back in.
Step 2: Check the Paper Tray and Paper
Correct Paper Loading:
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the input tray. The paper should be aligned properly and not overfilled.
- Adjust the paper width guides so they lightly rest against the edges of the paper stack.
Inspect the Paper:
- Ensure the paper you are using is not damaged, wrinkled, or curled. Replace any damaged paper.
- Use only recommended paper types and sizes for your printer.
Step 3: Clear Any Paper Jams
- Check for Jams:
- Carefully inspect the input and output trays, as well as the inside of the printer, for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Remove any stuck paper gently to avoid tearing it. If a piece of paper tears, make sure to remove all fragments to prevent further jams.
Step 4: Reset the Printer
- Power Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Step 5: Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
- Download and install any available updates.
Step 6: Align and Clean the Printhead
- Use the Printer Software:
- Open the HP Smart app or printer software on your computer.
- Navigate to the maintenance section and perform a printhead alignment and cleaning.
Step 7: Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and Run:
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP Support website.
- Run the tool to automatically diagnose and resolve any issues with your printer.
Step 8: Check Printer Settings
- Paper Settings:
- Ensure that the paper size and type settings in the printer software match the paper loaded in the tray.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
