Hi @Peggyg2
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is showing a message that says "The print cartridge cannot move" and the print drawer is stuck, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Turn Off and Unplug the Printer
- Power Down: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. This can help reset any temporary issues.
2. Check for Obstructions
- Open the Printer: Gently open the printer’s access door to see if there are any obstructions (like paper jams or foreign objects) blocking the print cartridge from moving.
- Remove Paper Jams: Check for any jammed paper or debris inside the printer that might be causing the issue.
3. Check Cartridge Alignment
- Cartridge Movement: With the printer unplugged, gently try to move the print cartridges manually to see if they are stuck. If they don't move easily, there may be an obstruction or alignment issue.
4. Inspect the Print Cartridges
- Remove and Reinsert Cartridges: Carefully remove the print cartridges and inspect them for any damage or obstruction. Reinsert them, ensuring they are seated properly.
5. Check for Hardware Issues
- Print Head: Look for any damage to the print head. If it appears misaligned, gently try to realign it according to the printer’s manual.
- Cables and Connections: Ensure that all cables are connected properly and that there are no loose connections.
6. Reset the Printer
- After checking for obstructions and ensuring everything is seated properly, plug the printer back in and turn it on. Wait for it to initialize and check if the error message persists.
7. Consult the Manual
- Refer to your printer's user manual for specific troubleshooting related to the error message and access door issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
