@Suematt06, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Replacing the Paper Tray in HP Photosmart 6510!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here are the steps to replace and fit the paper tray in your HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One Printer:

Prepare the New Paper Tray:

  • Ensure you have the correct replacement paper tray compatible with HP Photosmart 6510.

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged to avoid any electrical issues.

Remove the Old Tray:

  • Slowly pull the old paper tray out of the printer until it is completely removed.

Insert the New Tray:

  • Align the new paper tray with the same slot where the old tray was removed from.
  • Carefully slide the tray back into place, ensuring it is securely fitting into the slot without forcing it.

Adjust the Paper Guides:

  • Adjust the paper-width and paper-length guides on the new tray to fit the size of the paper you are planning to load.

Load Paper:

  • Load the paper into the tray, making sure it is properly aligned and not overfilled.
  • Slide the paper-width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper.

Power On the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Ensure the paper tray is functioning correctly by printing a test page.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
