I have HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 and since 12/17/21 have spent too many hours trying to resolve the "paper jam error message". At one point I could access printer cartridges, but now that function does not work (i.e. carriage does not move to center). At one point I could scan, not any more. HP Smart no longer recognizes my printer. I have followed every thread -- unplug printer, wait, plug back in, clear rollers, clean rollers, etc., etc., etc. Do community members agree it's time to bail on HP and go with alternative brand?

Would be interested in whatever alternative brand offers support of its products. I have experienced the same issues with my printer, and the cursed paper jam error simply cannot be reset or eliminated! There was never a paper jam; and completing all of the recommended fixes over and over with no result is very frustrating.

HP Support has not been able to help me. It's either documentation that doesn't resolve the problem or insistence I buy a Support package. I have bought an alternative solution and have been telling everyone one that will listen that HP printers should be a thing of the past. It's too bad as I've owned a bunch of HP printers, as has my wife, and we will never do that again. Good riddance to such a great brand that's gone bad...
