I am trying to remove a paper jam. I can't remove the blue paper path cover to see if there is any paper under it. It is stuck and when I try to print it makes a bad noise and paper gets stuck. I don't want to force the cover and break it. Any ideas?

Hi @SYLVANL

It sounds like a tricky situation with the blue paper path cover. Let’s carefully address this to avoid causing any damage:
Step 1: Turn Off and Unplug the Printer
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 2–3 minutes to allow the printer to reset.
Step 2: Inspect the Paper Path Cover
- Gently press the two tabs or finger holds on the blue paper path cover inward (if applicable). This should release the cover.
- If the cover feels stuck, avoid forcing it. Instead, check for any obstructions or misaligned parts that might be preventing it from moving.
Step 3: Use a Flashlight
- Shine a flashlight into the paper path area to look for any small pieces of paper or debris that might be jamming the mechanism.
- If you spot anything, carefully remove it using tweezers or your fingers.
Step 4: Clean the Rollers
- If you can access the rollers, use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean them. This can help remove any dust or residue causing the jam.
Step 5: Reset the Printer
- After inspecting and cleaning, reassemble the parts and plug the printer back in.
- Turn it on and try printing again to see if the issue is resolved.
