I am having issues with a M608 with loud knocking sounds coming from tray 2 when it's fully inserted. It continuously knocks, until the tray is removed.  When I power on, I hear a loud knock...then it lifts with no obscene noises for a few seconds before it repeatedly knocks until the tray is removed.  I tried using a different tray, but the issue persists.

I replaced the lifter assembly, no change.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

There are no issues with jamming.  Also, printer prints fine from tray 1.

If tray 2 pickup roller assembly is installed wrong the printer does not sense when the tray has lifted to the highest point and keeps on jamming the tray up. There is a white arm on one side of the pickup roller assembly and that MUST be under the black sensor flag when installed. the white arm being pushed up is what triggers the lift assembly to stop lifting.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I was able to run an event log and received a couple of 60.xx errors that point to that.   As soon as I can get back, I'll reseat the pickup roller to ensure it's correctly positioned.   Thanks again!
