I had to replace the pickup roller(s) on my cp1525nw and the manual pages 95-100 basically were inadequate. even the menu options for stopping the pickup roller were not correct. The manual says to remove the cartridges before entering the secondary menu. If you do that then the procedure doesn't work. If you go through the menu options first then unplug the printer (not turn off) then the roller is in the correct position. After that the description for removing the cover on the second small roller is extremely vague. I did get the job done but the actual HP instructions were less than 25% helpful. I guess I shouldn't be surprised as I was in IT before I retired and I always thought HP support was pretty bad. Also if you want to try and contact an actual person through the support pages... good luck... I couldn't even with trying the support options (i.e. potentially pay) ... I was just off to Error 404 land... Oh and then there's the Virtual Assistant... which is basically a waste of time.

Which manual are you referring to. The page numbers you provide do not correlate to the service manual pages that I have. Be aware that this is a user to user support forum, if you are looking for assistance I can help you out, if you are only looking to blow off steam this is not the place to do it.

The service manual in question is
HP Color LaserJet CP1210 and HP Color
Laseriet CP1510 Series MFP Series Printers
ok maybe I was a little harsh especially with huge numbers of hp models out there. Just my opinion and my experience. I’d love to blow off steam somewhere else but hp kinda makes that hard to do

Might depend on the version of the service manual. I have run into cases where the instructions in the manual are either misleading or completely wrong. Usually that gets fixed in later revisions of the manuals which was one of the reasons I was asking which manual. Glad to hear you got it sorted out. Keep in mind that this is a user to user support forum not a direct link to HP tech so it is pretty much other users that see this not HP.
