If you are getting a dialog box saying that the "paper tray is open" even after you've filled the tray and closed it, you can try the following steps:
Ensure Proper Closure: Double-check that the paper tray is fully closed. Push it firmly to ensure it's properly seated in the printer.
Check for Obstructions: Inspect the tray and printer cavity for any paper debris or foreign objects that might be preventing the tray from closing completely.
Reset the Printer: Sometimes, simply resetting the printer can clear error messages.
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.
Verify Paper Size and Type: Make sure the paper loaded in the tray is the correct size and type as specified in your printer's manual.
Check for Sensor Issues: There could be a sensor issue inside the printer.
- Open the paper tray and gently blow out any dust or debris.
- Ensure the sensor inside the printer (near the tray area) is not obstructed.
