HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Good morning,

My printer has not been printing for some time because the paper gets jammed automatically. Let me explain better: instead of feeding "straight," the paper feeds crooked at the beginning of the print, causing it to jam and not print because the sheet cannot move through properly. What solutions can I try to make it work again?

Thank you very much, everyone.

Hi @marious90,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are in a paper jam where the paper feeds crooked in an HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer can often be resolved with the following troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Check for Obstructions

  1. Power off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Open the access door and carefully remove any jammed paper. Ensure there are no small paper pieces stuck inside.
  3. Inspect the paper input tray for debris or foreign objects.

Step 2: Use Proper Paper

  1. Use the recommended type and size of paper for the printer. Ensure the paper is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged.
  2. Fan the stack of paper to prevent sheets from sticking together.
  3. Align the paper neatly and load it into the input tray without overloading. Adjust the paper guides snugly but not too tightly.

Step 3: Clean the Rollers

  1. Open the printer’s access door to locate the paper feed rollers.
  2. Dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water and gently wipe the rollers to remove dust and residue.
  3. Allow the rollers to dry completely before closing the printer.

Step 4: Reset the Printer

  1. Plug in the printer and turn it back on.
  2. Remove all paper from the tray and attempt to print a test page. Check if the rollers feed properly without paper.

Step 5: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Download the latest firmware from the HP Support website and install it.

Step 6: Run the Printer Diagnostics Tool

  1. Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot feed and paper issues.

Step 7: Inspect and Realign Rollers

  1. If the paper still feeds crookedly, the rollers might be misaligned or worn out.
