Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We recently purchased two new Officejet 8010 printers and they arrived witih the input tray extension in the legal size extended condition and we are unable to move them to the letter size position so the paper needs to be continuosly pushed back into postition to feed properly.  Since the tray is flimsy plastic I don't want to risk breaking it by forcing it to move but it is very annoying to not have it feed correctly.  How can we fix this?

Unfortunately I don't think you understood my question/problem.  You gave me information on extending the input tray but nowhere is there any information on returning it to letter size when it arrived from the factory set for legal size.  We finally figured out today that there are two places that need to be pressed in order to release the tray and slide it back in to the proper position for 11" paper instead of 14" but it is far from obvious and not mentioned in the user guide at all.  So your answer was not helpful at all.
