Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I started getting messages from HP telling me that parts are no longer available for my HP Envy 7855, I have had constant problems with a single page I am trying to print being partially printed on each of 4 pages. This happened very shortly after I started getting popup messages from HP about buying a new HP printer (due to lack of parts available in the future). Up until this point, I never had any problems. HP can access my computer and my printer as I am on instant ink. We all know about the cartridge remote sabotage operation HP admitted to. If others are having a similar problem, a class action suit may be merited.

Hi @RemoteSabotage,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

A Print Quality Diagnostic Page helps identify the source of print quality issues.

Load plain U.S. letter or A4 paper in the input tray.

On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report to print the report.

Print being spread out over  several pages is usually caused by a document that is too large to fit on a single sheet or multiple sheet mode is turned on. Ensure that the page size set and loaded on the printer is the same as the page size that the job wants to print on. As you state it is only on one page that this happens, you could have a corrupted document.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.

Thank you for your reply. I understand. This is not the case with my printer however. To be more specific if I am printing 10 copies of a single page Word document I created, the printer will print the first couple fine then it will start printing the same document in slivers over 5 or 6 pages, using 5 or six pages for what should be a single page. Thank you for taking the time to post your reply.

Ran the test and it looks fine. What does this have to do with the problem I was reporting?

Hi @RemoteSabotage,

Thanks for your patience.

Well, this could be various reasons. However, let's update the firmware if not done already by selecting your current OS.

Also, try printing a different document and see how it goes.
