My printer is out of warranty so this is a last ditch effort to fix the printer before I buy another one. My grandson broke a bracelet and I think a bead fell in the back of the printer. The paper goes so far and sits there printing in the same spot. I have to pull the paper back out through the feeder. Is there a way to take the back off to look and see if I can find the bead and get access to it? But…it has printed 2 random pages perfectly since then. So is there a bead or a mechanical issue?
if I buy a new printer in the 4100 series will it take the same ink I use now?

That model is disassembled from above, you need to remove the scanner to access the interior. You have a jam access door on the bottom side of the printer open it and inspect maybe that can help to get foreign object out.
