HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to print on 110lb Card Stock on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer.

When I select the media type when loading paper the only options I get are:

Plain Paper

Photo Paper

Speciality Paper Matte

Speciality Paper Glossy

Plain Paper, Thick

Plain Pape, Thin/Recycled

If I choose Plain Paper thick on the printer settings, and in my print dialog box I get a loud screeching noise and the paper jams.

Any help would be appericated.

That printer model doesn't support printing on cardstock. The maximum recommended for plain paper is 105gsm, everything heavier than that will only cause issues and can damage the printer.

I do not believe this is correct. In the specs it lists this as the media it can handle.

Paper Weight Plain Paper: 16-28 lb
Photo: Up to 80 lb
Envelope: 20-24 lb
Card: Up to 110 lb

That printer model doesn't support cardstock.

Card and cardstock are two different types of media.
