Printer HP Officejet 6950. A paper jam error message came up but I can find no paper caught anywhere. I read that I should move the printer cartridge to the left to check there is no paper on the right. However I cannot move the printer cartridge. It is stuck on the right hand side of the printer and would not move. I assume that is the problem. Any ideas anyone?

Hi @FC51,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Officejet 6950 printer cartridge is jammed and not moving from the right, you can try the following steps to fix the issue.
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer cover to access the cartridge area.
- Check for any visible obstructions, such as pieces of paper or debris, that may be preventing the cartridge from moving.
- Gently move the cartridge holder to the left or right to see if it will release the cartridge.
- If the cartridge still won't move, try to gently wiggle the cartridge to see if it will loosen it from its position.
- If none of the above steps work, try removing the cartridge by gently pulling it straight out of the printer. Be careful not to force it or damage it in the process.
- Once the cartridge is removed, check it for any damage or visible obstructions. If it is damaged or has debris, clean it gently with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the cartridge back into its holder, making sure it is properly seated and aligned.
- Close the printer cover and plug the printer back in.
- Turn the printer back on and try printing a test page to see if the issue has been resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
