I have a Laser M712 that keeps jamming paper in the fuser unit - the jammed pages in the fuser unit are solid/shiny black so I was originally thinking there could be a toner issue.

I have 2 x M712 printers and if I switch the suspect Fuser and the suspect toner to the working printer then all is fine in that printer.

Any ideas what could have gone wrong with the suspect unit, does something need cleaning and what, would cause paper jam in the exit of the fuser unit when the fuser works good in a different printer?

Is there a corona wire in this printer or something else that might need cleaning.

Many Thanks

Could be a bad cartridge drive or a bad HVPS or DC controller. Also make sure there are no bad contacts for the cartridge. Fuser will not cause all black pages, but heavy toner can cause jams in fuser because the paper sticks to it due to toner load.
